PRO-VERBS 5:15-20 Water Works

Greetings Pro-Verbists...

"Drink water from your OWN cistern, and running water from your OWN well. Should your fountains be dispersed abroad, streams of water in the streets? Let them (cistern, wells, fountains, and streams/channels) be only your OWN. And not for the strangers with you. Let/allow your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with THE WIFE OF YOUR YOUTH. As a loving deer and a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be intoxicated with her love. For why should you, my son, be intoxicated/enraptured by an IMMORAL WOMAN and be embraced in the arms of a SEDUCTRESS?" (Pro-Verbs 5:15-20)

One of the themes that runs throughout the Pro-Verbs...is the Father's warning to the son about the immoral woman...one who tempts...pulls the son away from who he really is. If you are not on your guard...there are many things in this world...that can distract and entrap you.

Cisterns, wells, fountains, and streams represents the son's personal vitality. It must be contained and not given out to others (immoral and seducing women).

The Rolling Stones lamented..."I can't get no satisfaction." The Pro-verbists points to the satisfaction of the son's ONE wife verses that of an immoral woman or seductress. Of course... the correlation for us is...our relationship with the Lord. Why should we be intoxicated and enraptured by anyone...anything else other than our Lord.

Don't let the waters of your life...out to others and pollute your relationship with the Lord.
